Changes in Pathology: Your Views

At Congress this year you may have stopped by the stand, or at least heard an Ali G impersonator inviting the audience to try their hand at smoothie making.

This was the work of Alere who have been at the forefront of rapid technology testing in pathology for many years, and have pioneered innovative diagnostic products for use in the laboratory and at the point of care.

Stuart Cassey, Alere's Commercial Manager said the exhibition represented "the essential ingredients needed to ensure a smooth transition of testing into decentralised environments".

After the show Alere conducted a survey on how pathology services were changing.  The responses have now been written up into a document entitled, Changes in Pathology: Your Views.

A range of issues were covered with delegates identifying knowledge and experience, quality control, and training as the three issues most important to delivering safe and high quality diagnostic services.
Other issues surveyed included the effects of decentralised testing, and what patients look for in pathology services.
