The higher specialist diploma (HSD) represents the Institute of Biomedical Sciences leading discipline specific qualification. The HSD tests knowledge at Masters level ensuring understanding of the application of laboratory tests and procedures directly related to the pathology and clinical outcome for patients.
The exam has five elements a portfolio, general essay questions, extended matching set questions, short answers and case studies. This session is aimed as an opportunity for candidates and potential candidates to come and find out a bit more about this examination. Please submit questions in advance:-
