The current clinical utility of several biomarkers such as troponin and BNP will be explored in the context of clinically-rich cases. The use of genotyping for familial hypercholesterolaemia and measurement of Lp(a) in assessment of premature cardiovascular disease will also be discussed in the context of patient based cases.
