Social Programme

You've spent hours taking in huge volumes of ideas and information. Not surprisingly, you’ll be bursting to share them with someone in a more relaxed and convivial environment. As, indeed, will all your fellow delegates. You can imagine the energy, intensity and sheer exuberance that ensues when we all get together at the end of the day for the various social activities.

Welcome Evening

An informal get-together for those delegates arriving the night before Congress opens. Join us from 18.00 for drinks, a buffet and to enjoy the build-up atmosphere.

Exhibition Happy Hour

On the Monday and Tuesday evenings from 17.00, the IBMS invites you to HAPPY HOUR in the exhibition - a chance to relax, view the exhibition with colleagues and chat informally with exhibitors.

President's Reception

Held from 19.00 in the magnificent Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, this is a ticket-only event hosted and addressed by the President of the IBMS. Everyone attending will be able to access the exhibits of the Museum and join the guided tours.

Company Members' Evening

Hosted by the Company Members, this is the traditional last night Congress Party.

Starting at 21.00 and using three areas of the highlights – Bar Risa Night Club opposite the ICC, this social function will feature:

• Fun activities
• Mercury – a Queen Tribute group supported by a resident DJ
• Chill-out room for those quieter moments
• Light snacks – hot dogs & chipstix
